Happy Classroom Culture: Teacher Wellness, Positive Behaviors, and Student-Centered Learning
Classrooms Where Students Grow and Teachers Thrive: A Human-Centered Approach to Wellness, De-Escalation, and Empowering Learning Environments
Teaching is one of the most impactful professions, but it can also be one of the most challenging. This full day workshop offers a transformative experience designed to empower educators with strategies to reduce stress, de-escalate challenging student behaviors, and create thriving, inclusive classroom environments. Using a human-centered approach, we’ll explore how strengthening IQ (cognitive skills), EQ (emotional intelligence), and RQ (relational intelligence) supports a happier, healthier classroom for both teachers and students.
Workshop Highlights:
Renew and Recharge: Explore mindfulness techniques and stress-reduction strategies to support educator well-being and create a calm, focused classroom culture. We’ll connect these practices to the foundations of emotional regulation and relationship-building.
Designing Student-Centered Classrooms: Use human-centered design to tailor your environment and instruction to the diverse needs, strengths, and values of your students. We’ll look at how student-centered approaches like project-based learning, problem-based learning, and place-based learning support deeper engagement and help students develop the skills they need to thrive.
De-Escalation and Proactive Behavior Management: Implement practical strategies to address and prevent challenging behaviors, creating a space where all students feel seen, supported, and understood.
Fostering Empathy and Equity: Develop tools to promote social-emotional growth, cultural competence, and equity in your classroom, building strong, inclusive relationships with students.
Restorative Practices in Action: Learn techniques to repair relationships and strengthen classroom communities, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for learning.
What You’ll Gain:
A personalized plan for reducing stress and managing energy throughout the school year.
Proven strategies to de-escalate behaviors and proactively manage classroom challenges.
Practical tools for integrating mindfulness, restorative practices, and equity-focused approaches into daily routines.
A framework for designing student-centered learning environments that grow IQ, EQ, and RQ—and empower students to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
This workshop is an opportunity to reset, refocus, and reimagine your classroom with tools and strategies that prioritize wellness, equity, and positive change. Let’s work together to transform your teaching and empower your classroom to become a space where both students and educators flourish.
