About the event
Join us at the SIEC office as we welcome back Sarah Henry! She has planned a session that will equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to design and capture both informal and formal evidence of learning of three-dimensional science standards & units. Session attendees can expect to expand their professional expertise by:
Learning how to create and implement a balanced assessment approach that will inform instruction & capture summative evidence of learning.
Practicing and processing the best analysis practices for teachers & PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) with both informal and formal evidence.
We encourage all MS and HS science teachers to take some time to connect with other science educators and grow their knowledge and confidence in implementing Indiana's Next Gen Science Standards. See below for session details!

Presenter: Sarah D. Henry
Sarah Henry has been an educator for 26 years. She is currently a full-time Alignment & PLC Specialist and Education Consultant through her company, Sarah D. Henry Consulting, LLC, and Rosebrock Consulting, Inc. Sarah is the co-author of "Arrows: A Systems-Based Approach to School Leadership." She served as the Secondary Science Administrator for Brownsburg Community
School Corporation for eleven years, where she worked with secondary science teachers to improve curriculum, instruction, assessment, and PLC processes. Sarah is also licensed and has taught elementary, middle school science, and high school life sciences. She presents workshops at the local, state, and national levels. She has also taught aspiring educational leaders, as an adjunct professor, in the area of Assessing for Learning for several years at the University of Indianapolis. Currently, Sarah is partnered with several districts across the country to provide training and coaching in district alignment and PLC work.
