ReadyTeach: Clear Voice (Prerequisite Microcredential)

Learning Intentions: 1. Students will understand how to craft clear, purposeful, and professional written communications tailored to various educational stakeholders, while effectively navigating institutional technology platforms. 2. Students will learn how to engage in respectful, constructive oral discourse and navigate routine or difficult professional conversations with colleagues, administrators, and families. Success Criteria: 1A: I can draft, refine, and send at least three professional written communications (such as newsletters, positive student updates, or emails to administrators) that adhere to professional etiquette and receive prior approval from my mentor teacher. 1B: I can correctly utilize school-approved digital communication tools and platforms to distribute my written messages, ensuring my mentor teacher is appropriately copied (cc) for visibility and feedback. 2A: I can demonstrate professional respect and active listening during oral interactions by successfully recording and submitting at least two professional conversations (either face-to-face or via a virtual meeting platform). 2B: I can apply structured communication phases (leveraging insights from the Resilient Educator framework) to handle a practice or real-world scenario involving a sensitive educational topic with my mentor or a colleague.
