eLearning Collaborative

SIEC eLearning Collaborative is an initiative developed at the request and approval of the Southern Indiana Education Center board. The purpose is to develop a high quality, rigorous and comprehensive online secondary course program to be available for all SIEC member districts. Developers and instructors for these courses are highly qualified teachers from SIEC member districts. They are trained and supported at all times by designated SIEC staff members.

Courses are guided by actual teachers and are designed as semester courses – 16 weeks. Students should expect to commit approximately 4 to 6 hours a week per course. Courses are highly interactive. Instructors have been trained and the expectation has been set forth that feedback to students is to be timely. Relationships are to be built with students to the greatest extent possible.

Only SIEC member schools may register their students for eLC secondary courses. Registration must be completed by a school counselor, principal, or other school designee. The link to register and the course catalog are embedded within the "About the eLC" information above. Please contact the SIEC office with any questions.
