Mini Sessions

SIEC offers free mini PD sessions to take place at your school. These would be a short session, an hour to an hour and a half, on a topic of relevance to your schools. This means it could take place with a group of teachers after school, during school in grade level meetings, at faculty meetings or administrative meetings. The only cost is mileage for the presenter as this is “added value” for being an SIEC member.

At the SIEC, we are committed to meeting the needs of our educators. Sometimes that looks like a full day workshop, sharing knowledge and strategies that can be applied in the classroom. But we also recognize that it is often difficult to get away for a day, and expensive to send a lot of people to our facility.

Member schools, as always, can take advantage of one free mini-session (up to 2 hrs) each year. This could be done during a staff meeting, after school, or during a PD day. In addition to mini sessions, we can also offer follow-up support such as coaching, modeling, planning, additional sessions, etc. Consider contacting Judy, DeAnne, or Julie to help you design professional learning mini-sessions that are custom built for your specific staff needs.
