Building a Math MTSS System That Actually Works

Time & Location

Sep 28, 2026, 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM EDT

Southern Indiana Education Center, 1102 Tree Ln Dr, Jasper, IN 47546

About the event

Indiana’s updated MTSS expectations call for more than identifying students for intervention. They require systems that connect high-quality instruction, meaningful data, and responsive support.

In this full-day session, participants will explore what effective math MTSS looks like in practice across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. Using examples grounded in the Indiana Academic Standards and ILEARN Checkpoints, educators will learn how to interpret student data, identify underlying misconceptions, and design targeted instructional responses.

Through hands-on tasks, analysis of student work, and collaborative planning, participants will strengthen Tier 1 instruction, align interventions to student thinking, and develop practical systems for ongoing data-based decision making.

Walk away with tools, protocols, and a clear plan to build a math MTSS system that supports every learner.
