The climate is temperate with dry conditions in the northeast and sub Antarctic in southwest. The land is grasslands to the north, flat rolling highlands to the south, and rugged Andes mountains to the south and west. |

The Magellanic penguins live on the rocky coasts and the southern tip of Argentina. There are high rocky mountains, snow , and huge glaciers. This part of Argentina is very close to Antarctica. |
