Argentina borders the South Atlantic Ocean on the southern tip of South America. Argentina is about 1/5 the size of the United States. The climate is temperate with dry conditions in the northeast and sub Antarctic in southwest. The land is grasslands to the north, flat rolling highlands to the south, and rugged Andes mountains to the south and west.

Argentina

Argentina is the second-largest country in South America with Brazil being the largest. The capital city is Buenos Aires. Most of the land is pasture land for cattle to graze on. There are some forest and woodlands to the north. The coasts are rocky with large glaciers to the south.

The Magellanic penguins live on the rocky coasts and the southern tip of Argentina. There are high rocky mountains, snow , and huge glaciers. This part of Argentina is very close to Antarctica.
