The SIEC is one of nine Educational Service Centers in the State of Indiana. Each school corporation has the option
of joining the ESC in their region. School corporations pay annual membership fees based upon their Average Daily Membership.
What is an Education Service Center?
1. A regional cooperative formed by multiple local school corporations.
2. An agency that allows every school corporation in its service area an opportunity to voluntarily participate.
What is the purpose?
1. To offer educational services that can be provided more effectively and efficiently on a cooperative basis than on an individual basis.
2. To supplement educational services available in the local school districts.
3. To support activities provided within the local school districts.
4. To better equalize educational opportunities for students and costs to schools.
