Operating Systems

Here are just some of the many versions of linux available. These are all the versions I am currently using, or have in the past.

CentOS

"CentOS is an Enterprise-class Linux Distribution derived from sources freely provided to the public by a prominent North American Enterprise Linux vendor. CentOS conforms fully with the upstream vendors redistribution policy and aims to be 100% binary compatible. (CentOS mainly changes packages to remove upstream vendor branding and artwork.) CentOS is free."

Freespire

"Freespire is a community-driven, Linux-based operating system that combines the best that free, open source software has to offer (community driven, freely distributed, open source code, etc.), but also provides users the choice of including proprietary codecs, drivers and applications as they see fit. With Freespire, the choice is yours as to what software is installed on your computer, with no limitations or restrictions placed on that choice. How you choose to maximize the performance of your computer is entirely up to you."

Linspire

Visit the Linspire website and learn more about their products. If you would like a free evaluation copy of Linspire Five-O for your schools, send email to edu@linspire.com

Red Hat

All things Red Hat can be found here, including a link to Fedora.

SUSE Linux Enterprise

"SUSE Linux Enterprise Server is an enterprise-quality server designed to handle mission-critical workloads in the data center."

ubuntu

"The Ubuntu community is built on the ideas enshrined in the Ubuntu Philosophy: that software should be available free of charge, that software tools should be usable by people in their local language and despite any disabilities, and that people should have the freedom to customise and alter their software in whatever way they see fit."

And don't forget to check out kubuntu and edubuntu.
