Open Source Information for Indiana Schools

While the main focus of this site is to house resources that will assist Indiana ACCESS schools implementing 1:1 computers in their classrooms, you will find information for other open source solutions that can be used within your school corporation regardless of whether or not you are a Indiana ACCESS school.

A list of open source programs you may find useful in your classroom environment can be found by following this link.

And for those who are not familiar with linux, you can still use some open source solutions. Lots of open source software exists that can run on non-linux operating systems (Windows, Max OS X) already installed at your school. You can find links to a small assortment of those under Applications

Various topics can be found on the left menu. If you know of any additional hardware/software that is being implemented in schools in regards to open systems, please feel free to contact your Educational Service Center so we can add that information under the appropriate category.
