The Holy Family Parent
Teacher Group (PTG) is a cooperative
of parents and teachers working toward a better education for
Holy Family School children. Funds raised by the PTG are used to
purchase items for the school such as: TV's with VCR/DVD's,
playground equipment, science lab items, physical education
equipment, Accelerated Reader program items etc. The PTG also
provides activities throughout the year. Activities include
dances, skate parties, JCAC performances etc. Teachers are also
provided with some reimbursement for classroom needs.

PTG SCRIP Program
SCRIP is a term that means "substitute money". SCRIP comes in
the form of gift certificates or gift cards that are used just
like cash. Hundreds of merchants allow Holy Family PTG to
purchase these certificates and cards at a discount and re-sell
them to you for full face value. For example: Buehler's Buy Low
give the PTG a 5% discount, Los bravos a 10% discount, Citgo a
2% discount and Old Navy a 9%. Restaurants, department store,
gas stations, book stores and drug stores are part of the SCRIP
program. See the SCRIP Form below for some of the many vendors.
You purchase SCRIP from the PTG via check or cash and then use
the gift cards and certificates to purchase your items. It's
that easy! Purchases you would make anyway are generating
revenue for Holy Family School without costing you a penny more.
SCRIP funds provide the funding for various equipment, programs,
and activities which PTG sponsors for our school. SCRIP offers
the PTG an opportunity to earn money for the extras that in
today's economy cost so much but are vital to the education of
our children.
You may choose to apply 50% of the profits from your SCRIP
purchase toward your tuition. The PTG receives the remaining
50%. In order to receive reimbursement, you must pay PTG dues of
$10 per family and complete a Tuition Reimbursement Form. In
March of each year, your SCRIP profit will be credited to your
tuition account. Any family member, friend, co-worker, neighbor
etc. can purchase SCRIP. SCRIP profit from their purchase can be
credited to your tuition account. Just complete a Tuition
Reimbursement Form stating the individual’s tuition you wish
reimbursed. Forms are available in the SCRIP office or the Holy
Family School office.
SCRIP is available for purchase on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30
pm in the SCRIP office located in the middle school wing and on
Sundays (during the summer) from 9:30 to 10:30 am outside of
church. Another way to purchase SCRIP is to send your order form
and payment to school. SCRIP that is in stock will be filled and
sent home with your child on Friday. Backorders will be sent
home the following week.
