Wonders of Wyandotte

"Monument Mountain"

Wyandotte Cave (big Wyandotte) is famous for its many large
passageways on five levels. It is one of the longest caves in the
United States. One of its most famous formations is called
Monument Mountain. It is considered to be the world's tallest
underground mountain!. It is 135 feet high and Monument Mountain
room has a ceiling of 140 feet high. It is made from breakdown rock.
This is an huge pile of rocks that have fallen from the ceiling.

To see Monument Mountain you must take an official tour.
The Monument Mountain Tour is offered after May 1.
