Welcome to Cannelton
Elementary Schools homepage.
Cannelton has two elementary buildings. William
Bennett Early Learning Center has grades PreK-K,
while Myers Grade School has grades one through
five. Myers is the oldest continuously used school
building in the state of Indiana, having begun
serving the community in 1868. The William Bennett
Early Learning Center is named after our beloved
past principal, Mr. William "Buddy" Bennett. It is
on Main Street across from the Cannelton Cotton
Mill. The William Bennett ELC began serving
Cannelton as a school building in the Fall of 2004,
replacing St. Michael's School at that
time.
