A Journey to Greatness

~Lincoln Boyhood Memorial State Park~

Visitor Center at Lincoln Boyhood Memorial

Lincoln Boyhood Memorial

Spencer County, Indiana

On September 20, 2008 our Media Club and some of our classmates visited the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial State Park at Lincoln City, Indiana in  Spencer County. We visited the museum and visitor center, the Lincoln Historical Farm, the Lincoln Cabin Site Memorial, Nancy Hanks Lincoln's gravesite, and the Trail of Twelve Stones. You can click on each photograph or heading below to go to the pages about each of these areas of the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial Park.

We highly recommend that you visit it and see it all for yourself. The park is located in Lincoln City, Indiana. Click here to go to the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial Park website. One interesting fact we learned is that it became Indiana's first national park when it was transferred from state control to federal control in the early 1960's.
